What programs are offered at the Texas Institute of Career & Technology?

We offer career-focused training programs, including Electrical Technician and HVAC Technician courses, to prepare students for in-demand technical careers.

Most of our training is hands-on and conducted in person to ensure students gain practical skills. However, some theory-based coursework may be available online.

What tools and equipment will I use in the Electrical Technician program?

Students will work with multimeters, circuit testers, wiring tools, conduit benders, and electrical panels to gain hands-on experience.

The program includes training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVACR), system diagnostics, installation, and maintenance.

Graduates can work as HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, maintenance specialists, or system installers in both residential and commercial settings.

No prior experience is required. Our program is designed for beginners as well as those looking to enhance their existing skills.
